Yet another from our Lager series, this classic style features notes of coffee and dark chocolate paired with a deceptively light body for a refreshing, yet flavorful cold-weather beer.

Can dated 12/10/20 into pint glass. Pours a deep cola brown with a cream-colored head. Initial impression is roasted malts, coffee, and a touch of chocolate. Mouthfeel is clean and crisp. Finish is slightly sweet and dry. Overall, a very enjoyable departure from my normal selection of IPAs and Stouts.

16 oz can
Pours very deep brown, slight light penetration, light tan head is fluffy and slowly dissipates to a lacing.
Aroma is of biscuit and smoked meats.
Flavor is of biscuit, mesquite, char, caramel, and dry woody and nutty notes.
Lighter body, light tingle of carbonation on the roof of the mouth.
Very tasty smokey lager, drinks easy and has lots of flavor at a low abv. I could drink this semi regularly.

A: The beer is nearly jet black in color - only slight traces of dark brown are visible near the corner of the glass when it is held up to a bright light.
S: Moderate aromas of dark malts are present in the nose along with a hints of chocolate and a bit of roast.
T: The taste has lots of flavors of dark malts along with hints of chocolate. Only a slight amount of bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied, clean and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has a lot of aromas and flavors of dark malts but is exceptionally drinkable given its lighter bodied nature.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 12/10/20, so 7 weeks old.
Looks very nice in the glass. Black/brown body, ruby when held up to a light. Small tan head shrinks to a thick ring and covering. Scattered lacing.
Malty, roasty aroma.
Taste pretty much follows the nose. There is a touch of coffee, but mostly roasted malt. It's well balanced though, so not burnt. A touch of sweetness would be preferred by this palate.
Mouth above medium, finish clean roasted malt.
Overall, good representation of a style that not easy to find by a US brewer. Thanks Adroit.
