Pours a red-hued, very dark brown color that approaches black, with three fat fingers of dark mocha foam that dissipate with huge air pockets and leave thick, messy lacing.
Enticing aroma of pine tar, burnt chocolate, toffee, candied pecans and leather with flashes of cinnamon and umami.
The taste is a touch less complex, but only in comparison to the nose. There are still waves of umami, chocolate and candied nuts. Again, there’s a hint of cinnamon; maybe even pepper. A touch of booze, too. Fairly strong piney bitterness, bitter Baker’s chocolate and a little ash round out the finish.
Not crazy thick bodied, but still fairly hefty with a certain slickness to it. Just enough carbonation.
Great, dark RIS flavors in this coupled with those candied nut and peppery flavors that make me think there’s something else to it.

Jet black body, opaque; thin yet lasting head. Big roasted grain nose; faint coffee suggestion. Chocolate and whiskey barrel taste notes right off; spicy and boozy. Heavy body yet fizzy and watery in some respects; prominent alcohol heat; thin to moderate residual sugars.
This is a decent if a bit uneven beer. It looks good (especially the head for a high ABV beer), but the mouthfeel lacks depth and richness. Still, it should satisfy fans of big, dark beers.
Poured at 55° F. Can dating info: CANNED 12/22/2020

Midnight black body with two fingers of brown foam. Good nose with leather, dried dark fruit, robust malt, char and earth. Taste is chocolate sauce and roasted malt with hints from nose elements. Feel is thin and semi-broken on the back end when the malts give out.

16oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, spotty brown head. Roasty aroma, chocolate. Taste is the same as the aroma, with a touch of cinnamon. Medium weight. ABV doesn't have a huge presence. Pretty simple presentation, tasty.

Dark chocolate color with a 2F head in a Moa snifter.
Aromas of roasted malt and chocolate.
Very smooth MF- creamy.
Taste transitions well from aroma- full bodied imperial stout with chocolate /roasted malt.
