L: Pours dark chocolate, thick and opaque. No appreciable head; some effervescent froth in the middle of the pour. A thin ring of lacing forms around the edge of the glass, supplemented by bubbles rising along the edge of the snifter. Held to the light, this beer has a complexion of fudge.
S: Noticeably astringent. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, some whiskey. Fainter notes of coffee, light char.
T: Follows the nose, with heavy first impressions of roasted malt, coffee, and charred oak. Bitter. Dark chocolate with a hint of smoke in the finish.
F: Medium- to full-bodied. Smooth, velvet mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation.
O: Another big Russian Imperial Stout from Adroit... the world keeps turning....

Pours a dark black , some burgundy highlights when held to a strong light. dark tan head almost coco thumb sized falls slow.
Aroma is roasted malts, big chocolate notes on this one, light licorice, coffee hints, even hints of smoke.
Taste is big roasted malts, loads of chocolate, everything falls under the chocolate goodness. Dark fruit hints, licorice and bitter coffee mingled, very light vanilla. Some light alcohol notes but the blend in the finish that really isn't bitter but have enough hops to prevent it being cloying.
Mouthfeel is big medium not sure how it is not full at 14%, it is nice and smooth, good mellow carbonation.
Overall a good enjoyable big ass stout.

16oz can from Tavour. Ebony pour, ring of brown head. Aroma is deep roast malts, chocolate, licorice. Taste starts with the roasty malts, minor sweet notes, dark chocolate, cacao, anise and finishes with a bitterness and rising alcohol warmth. Slick, smooth, creamy. Winner!

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high tan head that died down but never completely faded away.
S: Moderate aromas of dark chocolate are present in the nose along with hints of roasted malts.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of dark chocolate along with notes of coffee beans and hints of roasted malts, the latter of which are only in the finish. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied, smooth and a bit dry (from the roastiness) on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer packs in an incredible amount of chocolatey aromas and flavors but the smell and taste still has the roasted malt that you would expect from a Russian Imperial Stout. It does a very good job at hiding a good portion of the alcohol from the taste.
