This version is full bodied, with prominent notes of coffee balanced against underlying malty sweetness. Subtle notes of chocolate and caramel become more pronounced as this beer approaches cellar temperature.

Copenhagen 29/8 2021. 47,3 cl can from Ølkassen web-shop. Ghoulish drawing of a well-dressed zombie-gentleman eating brains on the can.
Pours opaque, dark brown with mid-sized light beige head. Stable. Settles as thin but consistent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, dark, malty odor mingling with an earthy scent. Brown sugar, chocolate, soy sauce, roasted dark malts. Bitter espresso coffee peeking in.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, fat, creamy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed and almost matched by a prominent bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a notable bitter undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Fat, smooth and sufficiently intense to hide the impressive ABV.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74---This is a treat---Cheers Dude!
This solid brew pours a dark blackish brown with a thin dark tea highlight
and a nice head of khaki tan foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin wafting
layer, and shows off some nice light lacing. Nose of dark cocoa, dark coffee hints,
anise, dark fruit notes of black and blueberry, and deep roast and char.
Flavors surpass the nose with a fine example of a no-nonsense imperial
with dark cocoa, dark coffee, char, anise, dark fruits, dark raisin with some
light vinous notes, and earthy malts with a touch of brulee.
Excellent mouth feel; dull body, smooth, rich coating, medium light
carbonation, and a bitter malt finish that is lightly dry
Overall----an excellent RIS!
Cheers

16 ounce can, 02/19/2021 stamped on the bottom of the can, #0741 of 4800. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around a while. Good amount of lacing, too. I like the aroma, the brew smells like burnt/charred malt, dark fruit, anise, coffee and bittersweet chocolate. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some earthy and caramel flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's smooth and slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a pretty good overall RIS. Glad I placed on order with Adroit Theory, hoping I like their other brews as much as I did this one!

Pitch black pour. Thin, light brown head that dissipates quickly. Super complex flavor that just changes as it warms. Coffee and chocolate flavors explode on the tongue with a burnt/roasted tone. Silky smooth. Can’t wait to see what it’s like in 2hrs!

Impulse buy because of the gross can art, you win Adroit. Robust flavors of milk chocolate and toffee with hints cherry and an off cola note up front. The finish is bitter chocolate and charred coffee. There is a lingering ash flavor.
The carbonation is light and the body a bit thin.

Can daated March 2021 into pint glass. Pours a very dark brown (SRM 38-39) with a creamy tan head. Surprisingly good lacing for 12% ABV. Initial impression is creamy-smooth milk chocolate, coffee, and caramel. Fairly sweet, but not cloyingly so. Mouthfeel is thick, smooth, and rich. Alcohol is extremely well hidden. Finish is sweet and dry. Overall, one of the better RIS's I've had.
