Unleashed from a pint can into a clear glass Imperial pint mug it came. Orange-amber in color and opaque, yet without appreciable head, nor glass lacing. Yet, this is well carbonated. The smell is citrusy, like an orange juice, a perception perhaps influenced by the eyes. There is a very nice malt body to carry the high ABV and bring a bit of sweetness. That sweetness inclusion seems to be the goal of the brewer and it's very well done. So, what we have here is a juicy IIPA, in a good medium, that has just enough hopping to make it a true IPA . On the sweet side, nonetheless the finish is clean and brief. The 10% ABV is barely noticeable, so this is one dangerous brew. If you accept hazy or NEIPAs, this is a standout. Those that want only bitingly hoppy versions well not be as enthusiastic.

Growler into pint glass. Pours a quite hazy light gold with a substantial, persistent, blocky off-white head. Great lacing. Initial impression is pineapple, pink grapefruit, pine resin, caramel, and lime. Mouthfeel is creamy and soft. Alcohol is extremely well hidden. ("OMG this is a 10% beer??!?") Carbonation is perfect. Finish is more citrus, fading to a very slight sweetness. Overall, another very enjoyable DIPA from Adroit Theory. All their stuff is good. One of the better breweries out there, IMHO.
