Crisp, clean, and refreshing, with slight biscuit notes from decoction. Clear, pale golden body with a pillowy head.

No date on can, into a Barrique stange.

Pours a dark gold with good foam and lacing. Aroma is apple and deep malts, as well as herbal hops. There's some strawberry and a lot of honey but very great malt flavors. It's slightly crisp with decent hop flavors on the finish, but much heavier and a little more fruity than I'd expect from a helles. It's heavy enough but still tasty, really just a more aromatic festbier with less nuttiness. Feel is good, very nice and smooth but also quite refreshing and appropriately dense.

Overall, is this a helles? Probably not, but it's a tasty lager.

My can said Ghost Thrash Metal, but I'm sure it is pretty much the same beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can into an iced tea glass, this beer featured a beautiful, clear, dark gold body and a small, bubbly white head that faded fast. Lacing was minimal. Aroma and taste included dry, biscuity malt and a little grassy hops. Mouthfeel was crisp and light but lacked the soft "pillowy" feel of a good Helles. A light, refreshing brew but not a top notch Helles.

From the pint can, it pours a slightly hazy amber color with a modest white head that slowly diminishes to a ring. Some spotty lacing. The nose gets a slightly fruity light malt scent. The mouth follows with a nice light malt beverage that I can't say is a helles, but is a nice tasting lager,

Murky but clear gold pour with a white head. Bread, cracker, lager malts, and grassy hops in the smell and taste. In the taste the grassy hops swell and pull back right before the end. Feel is crisp, higher in carbonation, thinner as it lacks yeast depth, but has great malt and hop work. Solid

They go way overboard in almost all their beers, so let's see how they do a Helles, no can date
Pours a large fizzy bubbly 2 finger head with lower retention, fades semi quickly, not really any lacing, crystal clear light pale blond color

Nose doesn't have a lot, but thankfully not overboard, light grainy-sweet pilsner malt, doughy but not too much of a rich malt, even as it warms a little cracker but not much, hint of herbal hop

Taste brings some of the cereal grain, a little grainy-sweet pilsner malt but also a sharp grassy grain thing going on, not too rich of complex, again the hops kick in a bit overboard, light herbal flavor, getting earthy and then very spicy, med-lighter bitterness up front, then med-high spicy hop bitterness late,

Mouth is med bod, soft lager, med frothy carb

Overall meh, not terrible, but more of an "American" take on Helles that doesn't do the style justice.

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly died down, leaving a thin collar around the edge and some specks of lacing clinging to the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of biscuit and bready malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional hints of grassy/spicy hops and a light amount of associated bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This lager has a nice clean mouthfeel and goes down very easily.

Generally clear, golden body; excellent carbonation; relatively thin yet persistent head, rich and creamy with some patches of foam sticky to the glass. Honey sweet nose. Light, delicate malt taste; slight to moderate hop bitterness; clean. Light body; a tad watery; an edge of dryness overall.

Overall, this is a respectable helles. There is nothing truly outstanding about it but should satisfy your beer thirst when something lighter and easier on the palate is called for.

Poured at 56° F; no dating info found on the can or label.
