Featuring the same crisp, clean finish and effervescent body as our other West Coast IPAs, Battlemaster offers a stronger malt backbone to help conceal it's higher alcohol content with just enough bitterness to balance. Hop driven flavors of freshly peeled grapefruit and resinous pine dominate throughout, with subtle clementine and lime providing a supporting role.

Canned in what appears to be June 2021.
A - Pours a slightly hazy medium golden orange with dense soapy white lacing.
S - Sweet malt with with old citrus and a hint of pine, the nose overall is stale and malt forward.
T - Sweet malt base is solid from start to finish with faded citrus swirling around trying to be relevant before some piney bitter bite sets in to balance things out. The alcohol presence is not shy on the first several sips until the palate eventually adjusts.
M - Big medium body with a soft finish on the tongue and warming in the back of the throat. Semi-dry finish.
O - This is really less than stellar. I'm sure it was pretty good back when and closer to the canning date.

Can dated June 2021 into pint glass. Pours a clear gold with a brief off-white head. Not much lacing going on. Initial impression is grapefruit and pine, nicely balanced by a strong malt presence. Mouthfeel is almost-but-not-quite chewy; alcohol is incredibly well hidden. Finish is clean and slightly sweet, fading to a pine bitterness. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable West Coast DIPA! Would revisit in a heartbeat.
