Invisible Art pours, looks, and smells as though it should be a stout or porter, but your palate tells a different story; a deceptively light body, with assertive hop-forward flavors and moderate bitterness pairs beautifully with subtle notes of roasted malt.

Can dated June 2021 into pint glass. Pours black with just a hint of ruby around the edges. Brief light tan head. Initial impression is dark roasted malts followed quickly by a touch of caramel and a salty resinous bitterness. Let this one warm up a bit to fully explore the taste. Mouthfeel is medium. Finish is clean and bitter. Overall, not my favorite style so YMMV.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high tan head that died down, leaving a webbing of off white bubbles around the side of the glass and a narrow collar around the edge.
S: Moderate aromas of roasted and burnt malts are present in the nose along with hints of char.
T: The taste has strong flavors of dark, roasted malts and a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The aromas and flavors of roasted malts in this beer are rather intense, even for this style.
