The follow up to Cold Woods, Cold Nights has a very full, chewy, copper body with relatively high residual malt sweetness imparting notes of caramel and toast, complemented by slight floral and spice notes from East Kent Goldings hops.

Look: It pours cooper and is clear. It has a tan head with very good head retention.
Smell: There are strong caramel aromas with some plum and dark cherry notes. There is a bit of toffee with some earthly elements.
Taste: It is quite sweet with caramel and toffee. It has some plum and dark cherry flavors with slight earthly elements. There are some very low floral and spice notes as well.
Feel: It has a full, thick body and is quite sweet. The finish is not as sweet as the initial taste. It has strong, but pleasant alcohol warming.
Overall, it's a bit sweet with plenty of complex flavors and great alcohol warming.

Can dated 12/15/21 into pint glass. Pours a gorgeous clear amber-mahogany-copper color with a light-yellowish-tan head that dissipates quickly. Good lacing, surprisingly. Initial impression is sweet caramel, biscuit, and booze. There's no "dark fruit" in this Barleywine. Mouthfeel is slick and oily, but clean. Finish is sweet, but not cloyingly so. Overall, I could drink a couple of these if I had to.
