We took our anniversary base stout and conditioned it on fresh JBM Coffee, and a dose of hazelnuts for intense flavors + a rich complexity.

Poured from a 16oz can into pint glass in April 2022. There is a canned on date 3/21/2022, and purchased during my visit to their brewpub.
Appearance: Dark black with a dark tan/brown head. The head is less than 1-finger thick with very fine bubbles, and lasts for only a minute and ended with no head. There is very little lacing sticking to the glass.
Smell: Strong aroma of coffee. Also some roasted malt and a hint of sweetness from alcohol. Overall the coffee dominate the others.
Taste: There is a nice balance between the roasted malts and coffee flavors. There are some chocolate and other sweet flavors to enhance the taste and add some complexity. There is a strong alcohol presence, as with other Imperial Stouts, which matches the 13.7% on the label. Great aftertaste, which is also dominated by the chocolate and coffee.
Mouth-feel: Thick, but with an extremely smooth and creamy body. Much more smooth than many other imperial stouts. The high alcohol is well-balanced and not overpowering.
This is a very good imperial stout, and it has a variety of flavors that adds an impressive complexity to the beer. Although this is a big beer, it is smooth and very enjoyable to drink. The smoothness adds to the overall enjoyment. Another good stout from Adroit Theory and provides a good 'sweeter' alternative to their 'Atomic Age' and 'Dia De Los Muertos' stouts that I have also tried and enjoyed. I will buy this again.

Can dated 3/21/22 into pint glass. Pours a viscous ruby-black with essentially no head. Initial impression is roasted malts, molasses, coffee, and a bit of hazlenut. Mouthfeel is thick, slick, and low in carbonation. Alcohol is amazingly well hidden. Finish is sweet, but not cloying. Overall, an exceellent RIS - a little sweet for my tastes but YMMV.
