Djinn offers a full, jet-black, and slick body with a chewy texture. Rich aromas of Coconut and Marshmallow jump out of the can, with each sip inviting these sweet flavors in conjunction with a softer nuttiness and sweet, boozy maple syrup.

Copenhagen 26/5 2024. 47,3 cl can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. Intricate pattern of sombre skeletal art on the can which bring H. R. Giger to mind. The version I am drinking only holds an ABV of 12%.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the sides of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a roasted and sweet odor of dark malts with a light touch of Bounty island. Earthy notes. Coconut, vanilla and sun oil. Dark chocolate and tobacco. Whiff of dark alcohol.
Light carbonation. Rather thick, oily, viscous, fat, soft, smooth, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is fairly dry with alight boozy burn.
Well-balanced and Imperial.

Poured from a 16oz can into pint glass in August 2024. There was no canned on date. I drank this about 1 week after I purchased it from the local distributor.
Appearance: Dark black with a dark tan/brown head. The head is thin with very fine bubbles. It lasts for a few minutes and ends with almost no head. There is only a little lacing sticking to the glass.
Smell: Strong aroma of roasted malt and coffee, and alcohol like bourbon ages stouts. Also, a hint of sweetness like chocolate and coconut. Overall, the roasted malt dominate the others.
Taste: There is a nice balance between the roasted malts and coffee flavors. There are some chocolate and hop bitter flavors to enhance the taste and add some complexity. There is a strong alcohol presence, as with other Imperial Stouts, which matches the 12.0% on the label. Nice aftertaste, which is also dominated by the coffee.
Mouth-feel: Thick, but with a smooth and creamy body. Similar to other Russian Imperial Stouts.
This is a good imperial stout, and it has a variety of flavors that adds an impressive complexity to the beer. Although this is a big beer, it is smooth and very enjoyable to drink. The high alcohol gives it flavors like a barrel aged stout. I do prefer some of Adroit's other stouts, I would buy this again.
