For version 2.0 of this beer, we dialed back the chocolate, and bumped up the roastiness. We also adjusted the brew temperature settings to improve the head retention.
This is our homage to a Mexican Dark Lager (specifically Negro Modelo) that is light + easy drinking. A Medium-bodied lager with slow-roasted caramel malts brewed for a rich, smooth taste. Lime optional.

Can into pint glass. Pours a dark cola brown with essentially no head. Initial impression is roasted malts with a slight bit of caramel undertone. Mouthfeel is clean and fairly light. Finish fades to roasty malts. Good, but I paid $4.49 for a single and I wouldn't do it again.
