I was surprised to see that someone else reviewed this exact beer. Adroit Theory labels various batches with "Ghost: (followed by a word or a number). There is some variety between "Ghosts". The various Therapy Sessions have been labeled as American Imperial Stout or Russian Imperial Stout by the various Beer Advocate reviewers. The .abv ranges from 12% to 13% .abv. This Ghost: Therapy evolution was very good. Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass, this beer fetured a dense black color with no light coming through. The first pour provided a medium sized dark cream colored head, but in subsequent pours, the head was a darker brown. Head retention was pretty impressive fora 12% .abv beer. There was some thin bands of lacing on the glass. A good looking strong beer. Aroma and taste were richly malty with a good bit of chocolate and some coffee. There was some sweetness, but not enough to call it a "dessert beer". Mouthfeel was rich and mostly smooth. Some alcohol warming but no harshness. Quite enjoyable!!!

Therapy Sessions (Ghost: Therapy) – from Adroit Theory Brewing. Four-pack of 16 oz cans. Acquired 04/10/23 on-line from Adroit Theory, $ 28.87 (Including shipping), $ 0.451/fl oz. Reviewed 22/10/23 (Review 3172). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Bottom of can stamped “THERAPY SESSIONS 08/14/23”. Stored at 34 degrees at home. Served at 46.9 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature was 50.3 degrees F.
Appearance – 4.
First pour – Deep Amber (SRM 15), clear.
Body – Ruby Brown (SRM 24), opaque. Under direct light, same. When rear-lite, red-amber, and translucent.
Head: Average (Maximum four cm, aggressive center pour), fallow, high density with a rocky top. Rapidly reduces to a five to seven mm crown and a thin complete cap with small rocks.
Lacing – A few small islands remain on the glass.
Aroma – 4 – Moderate toasted malt aroma. No hops, no yeast. No ethanol (12. % ABV according to the label).
Flavor – 3.25 – Begins with mild toasted malt. Slightly bitter, with no hops, no yeast. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Ends with mild gastric heat, sour.
Palate – 4 – Full; approaching creamy; lively carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 4. Very odd sour note spoils it for me. Fruit fly approved.
