Elegy [Irony Edition] (Ghost Irony)

I really don't understand the naming conventions from Adroit Theory Some of the beers I have tried from them have a (Ghost [ followed by a 3 or 4 digit number]) as part of the beer name and Edition (in this case Irony). I looked all over the can for the Ghost number but Ghost Irony was all it said. The can looks exactly like the photos listed for Elegy [Irony Edition] (Ghost 1103 ) and (Ghost 941). This beer is 8.3% .abv vice 8% for the other two. Also, the can says "Contains Lactose". Naming aside this is a very good beer. This beer is juicy but more robust than most NE based Imperial IPAs. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer features a slightly hazy gold color and a big bubbly white head. Very good retention and thick bands of lacing on the glass. Aroma and flavor really stand out. The smell of grapefruit and citrus (especially tangerine) really stand out, even as the can is opened. In addition to the outstanding fruity aspect, this beer also has a pretty robust bitterness level. Very enjoyable. Mouthfeel is crisp and somewhat bitter. I'm glad I didn't notice any lactose, which I believe hs no place in an IPA!!! My beer store, the Casual Pint, gets lots of Adroit Theory beers and this is a good thing!!!!
