Commercial description:
The VOIID series is an opportunity for our brewer (Russ) to experiment with new ideas to reinvigorate, and push our hazy IPAs to new heights. Instead of experimenting (beyond normal tweaks) on our existing recipes, we decided to put significant changes into their own series. This way we were not precluded from ideas that might cause tried + true beers to deviate too far from their origins.
The first few batches in this series will focus on finished color. One of our goals for 2024 is to make a more creamy golden to golden white IPA. Batch 01 focuses on a higher usage of wheat in our grist, and also a change on how the bittering hops are applied. This beer also does not contain Lactose like our other Hazies.

A - Opaque dark medium golden orange pour with dense frothy lacing around the top.
S - Strong citrus and tropical fruit presence. Breaking it down: Red grapefruit, peach, tangerine, papaya, and some berry.
T - Peach, tangerine, grapefruit, papaya, and ends with some resiny pine bitterness.
M - Big chewy, soft body, with a dry finish and a pretty well hidden ABV.
O - The flavor doesn't match the intensity of the nose.

Pours an opaque golden straw color with almost two fingers of head. The nose has notes of citrus and other tropical fruits. The flavor follows with the same notes but it doesn't match the boldness of the nose.

Can into pint glass. Pours a murky light honey gold color with a persistent bright white head. Great lacing. Initial impression is juicy citrus, peach, mango, and tropical fruits. Mouthfeel is thick, creamy, and smooth; alcohol is well hidden. Finish fades to slightly sweet citrus. Excellent.
