Poured from a 16oz can into pint glass in February 2024. There is "REVENGE" stamped on the bottom of the can with a date of 1/4/24. I drank this within 1 week of purchase at a local distributor.
Appearance: Very dark black with 1 finger head. The head was dark tan, with fine bubbles, and there was very little lacing on the glass. The head only lasted a couple of minutes and left no covering after 2 minutes.
Smell: Mild aromas overall, mostly malt with some coffee. Not much hop aroma.
Taste: There is an interesting combination of flavors for a porter. There is a mix of malt, coffee, and cocoa flavors (which I do not get from the aroma). There is very little bitterness from hops. There is a strong alcohol presence that matches 7.8% listed on the label.
Mouth-feel: This is bigger than most porters, and feels thick in the mouth. An extremely smooth and creamy body.
This is a good porter, and it has a variety of flavors that adds a nice complexity to the beer. The cocoa, coffee, and roasted malt flavors nicely contrast and balance each other. It is very smooth and enjoyable to drink. I would definitely buy this again.

Apparently, this dose is a little bit more potent than the previous Ghost 929, with the ABV upped from 7.5 to 7.8 percent. It poured nicely to completely evacuate a pint can and ended up in a clear glass liter mug. It's very dark black coffee brown and it appeared to run richer than the average porter. The aroma is full of roasted barley malt and not much notice of the coffee, nor the hops. A tan head did not last very long. The mouthfeel is indeed richer than many within this style. The taste buds catch some of the coffee the nose had difficulty finding. Any sweetness from the malt is countered with some bitterness from the roasting and the coffee. But, it's in great balance, as this is neither too sweet, nor too bitter. As a good brew should provide, both tastes are included. The alcohol is much more noticed by the warming of the esophagus than a bite to the tongue. Although there's no glass lacing to prove it, this has a great body for a porter, especially one with a coffee inclusion. Some coffee stouts/porters taste like a beer with some black coffee poured into it. This one provides great nuances and layers and the two main taste contributors work well with each other to make one tasty coffee porter.
