Curse if the Damned (Ghost: Curse of the Damned) from Adroit Theory. 16 fl oz can, purchased from them on-line. Reviewed 27/11/24 (Review 3404). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Undated can. Stored at 34 degrees at home. Served at 42.2 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature was 52.8 degrees F.
Appearance – 4
First pour – Deep Gold (SRM 6), clear.
Body – Medium Amber (SRM 12), opaque. Under direct light, same. When rear-lite, transparent bronze.
Head: Large (Maximum 5.5 cm, aggressive center pour), alabaster, medium density with a rocky top. Quickly collapsing to a 0.2 cm crown, and a thin partial cap.
Lacing – None.
Aroma – 3 – Malty with faint spicy hops. No ethanol (5.6 % ABV as marked on label).
Flavor – 3 – Begins slightly crackery with just enough hops to balance the sweetness from the malt. No yeast. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Slight gastric warming
Palate – 3 – Medium: watery; soft carbonation.
Style: Follows the style guidelines as loosely condensed by BA.
Final impression and summation: 3 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) – Good looking but lacking personality. Mediocre.
