I still don't like Adroit Theory's naming convention - using "Ghost ....." as a way to split up what is essentially the same beer. I would have added my review to the one set that didn't have a "Ghost" designation except that the first reviewer called it a NEIPA where the can clearly designated it as an Imperial IPA. In any case it is a solid Imperial IPA in the New England style. Much more robust flavor and aroma than most!!! Poured from a16 oz can into a pint glass, this beer featured a hazy dull gold color with a big white head and lots of lacing. Head retention was average to slightly better than average. Aroma and taste featured tropical fruit, some citrus, a bit of lactose and pine and a good level of bitterness for a NE style IPA.
Mouthfeel was rich and crisp. The lactose added some smoothness without dulling the crispness or the bitterness. I really enjoyed this one.
