G/I/A/A is a Citra based hop beast. Massive amounts of hops in the boil with an emphasis on aromatics. Post boil is a run through the HopRocket followed by several rounds of dry hopping in primary and secondary fermentation.

To tie in with the Molotov Cocktail theme we were going for we soaked some ash wood in Belvedere Vodka. We then aged the beer on the wood staves to give it a more robust mouth feel.

Ghost 915 - canned 11/25/20

Not your typical New England IPA. This NEIPA is very crisp with a herbal bitterness. Little to no citrus or other fruitiness in the aroma or taste. A dry almost astringent finish.

Bold but smooth with lush orange character. Not as bitter or crisp as I prefer, but still a solid brew.

It's a cloudy, bright orange with about a finger of thick creamy white head. The head has great retention and leaves big rings and streaks of tight sticky head. The aroma is hoppy, but a little nondescript until it has a chance to warm, when it starts to offer both floral and orange notes. The same goes for the taste. Neither ever get to "mind-blowing" but they do open up and become really good. The body hits the tongue with a little fullness but isn't too thick to drink easily and there's just a faint hint of carbonation.

There's a huge hop presence on this one - fruity, bitter and at times vinous. I'm having trouble picking out really distinct notes though. Not a ton of depth. But still really tasty and pleasant. Orange rind and candied orange eventually emerge. Dry and woody finish.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a dark orange color and a thick, cloudy texture. Lots of floaties. There was an inch of foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. Pretty good lacing.

S: A nice aroma of hops, citrus, malt, and a floral quality.

T: Tasted of a good shot of citrus (grapefruit, a little orange), a hint of the sweet malt, a lot of hops (not too much), some other light fruit, and a woody quality as well. An interesting flavor that's not as hoppy and aggressive as other DIPAs. Still, it's fruity and hoppy enough to be interesting.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.

O: This isn't a perfect beer, but it's oddly likable. Definitely drinkable.

Beauty of a beer, this one. Super OJ looker with a billowing white head. I got a bit too into the spirit of the pour and forgot to control the yeast flow, which now hangs suspended like pulp.

Plenty of grapefruit up front on the nose, and if you breathe it in long enough, it creates a sort of spicy sting in the nostrils. Beyond the grapefruit hides a bit of sweetness in the form of mango until a vegetable thing exits out, but not in an overwhelming"rotting" way.

Taste is a fresh, spicy and sweet grapefruit that leaves a pleasant, almost floral finish. Upon swig number two, a touch of grassy joins the party. Without taking away from the initial grapefruitiness, each other taste is sort of complex as well. Rounding out the taste experience is the incredibly well balanced bitterness (when considering a stealthy malt sweetness) throughout.

Medium bodied and dry without any real hint of alcohol heat.

Clear brown color. Off white head. Strong dark fruit notes from the malt. Hints of vanilla and wood. Nice pine notes. Bourbon notes are pretty good. A bit rye spice to it. Taste is strong bourbon with a nice rye spice to it. Hop bitterness is pretty good. Feel is slick and heavy but nice. Go for it.
