On-tap at the source in a half-pint quantity, on to the beer:
This lager is light golden colored and leaves spotty lace around the glass. It doesn't smell much like a golden lager. In fact, it smells more like priming sugar with a trace of hay.
Ok, I'm getting impatient. Front Street Lager delivers a less than inspiring array of flavors, which include some the sugar you would find in Belgian tripels, vague grass, weird grain, and even a note of DMS. It's a light bodied beer with refreshing carbonation, though that won't be enough to give this beer a thumbs up.

On Tap at the Brewery – Temecula, CA
Notes from 08/18/13 - 4oz taster
A: Pours a light honey-golden blonde color with high clarity and visible carbonation. Thin cap of paper white fizzy head. Low stick with just some light spots and strings of lace that dot the glass on the drink down.
S: Has a very smooth and malt forward aroma. Definitely Lager like with some grainy bread and malt notes. Light hop spicing present. Fairly clean and straight forward.
T: Tastes much the same with a firm yet smooth malt character. Bread, grains, and spice make up most of the flavors. Touch of earthiness mixed in with that malt sweetness. There is a very soft bitterness to the beer and alcohol is not even traceable. Smooth, clean, crisp and somewhat refreshing. A little bit pedestrian but drinkable with nice balance.
M: Very light body with a nice creamy texture and high drying crisp factor on the finish. Very clean with no residuals. A touch on the thin and wetter side overall.
D: This is a decent Lager but nothing to get you excited. More so to appease the non-craft beer drinkers if you ask me. Nice balance and drinkability but lacking much depth.

Pours a clear yellow with a foamy off-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and grassy aromas. Taste is much the same with grassy flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.
