Juicy Predator Triple C features multiple hops varieties for the first time. Way too much Citra, Calypso, and Cascade hops dance beautifully together for a mixed profile of cantaloupe, sparkling citrus juice, pear skin, and papaya along with dank notes of dry hay and wet moss. The dry, effervescent finish lets the fruit character star as the elixir pirouettes away.

Light straw color with a full finger and a half of head that lingers, producing a lot of lacing. Fairly hazy but not totally opaque, giving an unfiltered appearance. Bright and clean flavors, leaning towards lemon citrus complemented by melon, wildflower honey and straw. Very accessible.

I'm finding this Juicy line curious.
Of the line's five Juicies, I'm the only review for all five. (Given OCB's many faithful fans, I'm assuming these Juicies were largely Mousetrap-only releases (as is 3Cs.) Because I leave Mousetrap with about a mixed case every several weeks, I have a leg up and I've added four of these Juicies. And I've enjoyed them all during the last five months. If memory serves me correct, the malt bill for all five are nearly the same and the variation is largely an experiment in hop variety. Today I don't have time to go back and review all my reviews; but as my ratings stand now, 3C is the only one that approaches Apex. I don't recall any of the previous four Juicies being as versatile with food as Apex, but 3C just might be. Watch for updates. Cheers !
10/23/23 Not waiting long, I had taste comparison of 3C with a juicy American Blonde (ale) called Beer for Buddies. They were paired with my standard summer fare (pesto on spinach ravioli.) And 3C was the champ; in fact I still stand by projection that it is a rival to Apex to be at the top of the food chain.
