S: Sweet orange, a note of floral honey, some strong wheat notes.
T: Sweet orange, followed by a floral honey and then a nice fresh milled wheat.
F: Smooth and easy drinking

A: golden and effervescent.
S: Orange, honey, and grain.
T: bitter hops at the front; orange, honey, and sweet in the middle; slightly bitter and clean on the finish.
M: medium
O: not what i expected from the name. Basically strikes me as a blonde ale with some honey and orange peel added.

Bought from Beer Drop. My first from Verboten, I went on their website and am impressed by this eight year old micro. As a mom and Pop shop in town of almost 80k, Verboten is ranked #2 (by the local weekly) in the top 10 micros in Loveland. If you are looking for the secret to survive such competition (particularly in an on-going pandemic), Verboten may offer an answer. There story is not special, but they survived Covid and competition from other crafters.
As for TOSO, it is as advertised; orange Looks are followed orange dominating the aromatics and orange is the last flavor to leave my mouth. Well-balanced. Quite refreshing. TOSO seems to let summer fare have its say.
11/9/21 I finally got around to the second can and it remains refreshing after a bike ride enjoying the final burst of fall colors. I'm counting over at UnTappd.

On-tap at The Mayor of Old Town, Fort Collins, CO
A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a narrow white collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of candied blood oranges are present in the nose along with hints of wheat.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of candied oranges with a bit of associated sweetness. There are hints of wheat in the finish.
M: It feels light- bodied and faintly chewy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and doesn't have a raw "wheaty" taste like many other beers in the style due to the prominent orange flavors.
Serving type: on-tap

wow. verboten keeps turning styles upside down and making incredible beer. this is genius, orange blossom honey and grains of paradise in a light but fluffy and rich feeling wheat beer. its outstanding, with an exuberant white head like a bubble bath, and a hazy pale yellow beer beneath it. a nose of blooming springtime, orange zest, and sweet wheat malt and floral honey. its definitely in bloom here, radiantly summery, and sweetish to the senses. the flavor is wheat malt tainted with orange pulp and zest all throughout, an awesome platform. the honey is less ferments out than in others like this (if there even is anything like it), so it ends up more flavorful rather than just another fermentable. a true beauty, infinitely sessionable because its not all that sweet. overall its extremely unique and impressive, verboten has done a lot of that in their early going. an almost tea-like character to this, sensational beer overall.

Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a cloudy, opaque, yellow coloring, with a halo of white, fluffy head. Nose of subtle citrus sweetness and toasted grains. Flavors are smooth and light, with orange peel, tangerine, and toasted grains. Smooth, light bodied, with an orange rind and tartly sweet citrus aftertaste. The finish is smooth, light, and clean.
