Had on tap. So I thought I loved the smell of the original, and then I smelled this. The stronger vanilla just brought all the aromas out even more. The taste however was cut a little bit by so much vanilla, ironically. Still, nice bready and malty body to go with the vanilla and donut sweetness

Had on-tap at Burial Beer Co. Served in a Burial snifter.
A- Pours a 99% opaque black color with a 1/4 inch dark tan head that retains well before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and a mostly full sheet of surface foam. Semi-resilient lacing leaves a jagged ring behind.
S- Big notes of vanilla, coffee, chocolate and caramel. Also a solid shot of booze but isn't too heavy.
T- Flavor's not as complex as the booze is more noticeable and the vanilla bean is a bit drowned out by the coffee and dark roast. Still good and different from your usual coffee stout flavor profile. ABV is hidden well.
M- Not as thick as I was hoping it'd be and slightly over carbonated for the style. Fullish body.
O- Glad I finally got to try this and with a vanilla bean treatment no less. The aroma was great but the rest of the beer wasn't as amazing as expected. Could just be hype skewing my judgement but I just don't feel it's on par with some other amazing coffee beers I've had.
