Poured into a Funky Buddha Brewery snifter. Bottle #86
A- Pours a 99% opaque black color with a 1/4 inch tan head that retains a bit before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and minimal surface foam. Semi-resilient lacing leaves a broken ring behind.
S- Lots of spice including black pepper, cinnamon and of course lavender.
T- Much more lavender in the flavor which bounces off the roasty malt. Such a smooth, mellow flavor profile that drinks really well for the ABV. More cinnamon/clove-like spice plus a vanilla aftertaste.
M- A bit sharp from the spice with medium-low carbonation and a fullish body.
O- Very unique as the herbal quality takes main stage and plays off the malt background. Burial has been continuously experimenting with the different flowers, spices and botanicals that are at their disposal with mostly good results, this experiment included.
