Nice flavor, but I am marking this one down because it was too flat. The rye flavor was sneaky subtle. I would be willing to give this another try. Maybe I just got an old can.

Poured into an imperial nonic a rich amber shade with a sticky full one finger off white head atop.Citric hops and sharp rye with a bit of nuttiness and caramel in the nose, very well rounded with alot of good stuff going on.Spicy rye is large and in charge like you would think it would be on the palate, peppery with a smooth caramel sweetness,a real nuttiness comes thru for me as well, the citric hops linger late for a great cap off.All great components come together very well in this beer, the spicy rye, caramel coated nuts, and a big hop profile.Great job here. The best beer of 2017 for me so far.

An almost Amber color that has an inviting hoppy nose but giant flavors from the hop expression! Truly delicious.

L - Pours a beautiful light brown with the slightest of haze. Has an off white half inch head that takes about a minute or two to settle with minimal lacing.
S - Plenty of spice from the rye, but not overwhelming. I may be picking up some fruity/floral notes.
T - Yes, this is awesome. The rye, the oak...its all there and so well balanced.
O - This is my first barrel aged ipa. I also tend to stick away from rye anything but this is so freakin good. I need to get my hands on some more!

Bulleit barrel really shines here, it's not too heavy and compliments the rye scythe perfectly. This is the best barrel aged IPA that I've had.... and I drink A LOT!
