Look: It pours yellow with excellent clarity. It has a white head and head retention is excellent.

Smell: It has a spicy, pepper like aroma with citrus to start with. There are some grapefruit notes along with a bit of grainy sweetness.

Taste: It has a spicy flavor with some pepper, lemon, citrus, and grapefruit. There is some grainy sweetness in the background.

Feel: It has a medium body with a long lasting hop finish.

Overall, a complex combination of flavors that are strong but not overbearing.

 

 

 

 

 

Tall can...3/21/18 on the bottom, so about 2 months in the can, not really ideal..

Nice delicate and lighter NEIPA kinda look, fine strands of near white lacing left all over the glass.

Some faint melon and grapefruit pith on the sniff.

Pretty darn delicious, with more grapefruit, melon, lime, mango and some light pepper shining through....not bursting with big flavors , but more of a soft, delicate and muted attack on the senses....well worth a try. Quality offering from these two collaborators.

a super juicy ipa brewed by these two notable operations. it seems like burial has been teaming up with everyone lately, awesome! this is hazy and new school, dry hopped to near oblivion, but somehow still really drinkable and easy, i think the kolsch yeast has a lot to do with drying it out and giving it an approachable complexity, i really like that choice for this one. tons of hops in this bright yellow hazy brew, not sure what all is in here, some citra and mosaic tropicality up front and a fruity mix in behind that, from under ripe raspberry to apricot and orange, there is a lot going on here. a simple enough grain base with a bit of body and faint sweetness, low bitterness too. we drink this one before its all the way cold, and still its awesome, the hops just bursting right out of it, floral honey and tropical fruit, pineapple juice and citrus, floury grain is a little starchy, and the european yeast character in the drier finish makes it unique. carbonation is a little less bright here than in some of the other hoppy burial stuff, but this is really smooth, the low bitterness helps with that. a trendy ipa that i think has enough uniqueness and drinkability to outlast the current fads, if the keep producing it. wonderful hop profile here, quality ipa!

 

 

 

Bright white head, close to two fingers with decent density although you see larger random bubble explosions across the surface, good retention, the lacing formed in thick streaks but not a lot of stickiness. The liquid has a translucent haziness to it, pale yellow color, almost dilute, offers a couple of bubble beads, reminiscent of a wheat beer. Extremely crisp and penetrating nose of fresh, leafy hops, cracked peppercorns, tar, black tea leaf, not until the penultimate moment does it veer towards pine, flowers or white pit fruit, leaves you nostrils feeling scrubbed raw. Full-bodied, creamier than you’d expect based on the nose and with fluffier carbonation as well. More balanced here with white grapefruit citrus more sweet than sour and amplified peach, apricot to melon fruit. The doughy, biscuity notes also tend towards sweeter. That said, the green leafiness prominent throughout and the earthy, tarry elements no less so. Does focus and get crisp through the finish and moderately bitter. Showed more complexity and length when allowed to get closer to room temperature. Lot going but doesn’t get lost in the noise.
