Notes: Deep within our very bodies resides the punishing truth and morbid drive to forge the tools for a path to enlightenment. This Pale is made from wheat from three varietals; malted red wheat, flaked wheat, and raw NC-grown wheat. Bonedagger offers a round mouthfeel and a midly-sweet grain presence, but is dry-hopped with dank and peachy Citra hops and Simcoe Lupulin Powder that take this Pale to the bounds of the style.

Pale yellow. Soda like carbonation and a finger of white head. It smells of pineapple and dank lupulin scents.

The taste is of a caramel back bone, apples, and pineapple.

Light body with lots of carbonation. I got this in Waynesville June 17, 2020.

Pours a hazy yellow color with a medium level of head.
Smell of citrus and maybe a hint of pine.
Taste reflects the smell with a stronger pine aspect
A smooth mouth feel and aftertaste. The pine remains.
A very enjoyable, light, easy to drink pale ale. Thumbs up

Opaque lemony hue with a nice citrusy nose. Noticeable hops without over powering pine and a little cinnamon. Feel is fresh and easy going down.

On tap at Rattle N Hum West in New York.

Pours a hazy yellow with fine, soft foam.

Smell is tropical and juicy with notes of citrus, mango and some berries.

Taste is tropical and crisp with notes of citrus, unripe mango and a hint of blackberries. Soft bitterness plays well with the fruitiness, and the whole thing is very refreshing.

Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.

Overall, a terrific pale ale, great balance and refreshing.

A: The beer is yellow in color and has lots of fine particulates floating in suspension along with a faint amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of wheat and citrus are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell but has a little stronger flavors of wheat and citrus
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and faintly "chewy" on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The use of wheat in this APA makes it a little lighter in body and easier to drink compared to other beers in the style.

12 oz can at the Fall 2018 Suwannee Roots Revival.
Pours with an amber body and a semi-durable white head.
Well balanced and leaning slightly towards bold for style. Nice mix of hops that has a touch of umami.

Thrilled to be 6th review of Burial's Bonedagger APA. As NC brewed Dales is my favorite APA this one gets a nod for being close but different. A 4. Love this brewer.
a) Thick lasting head that laces over a light golden clouded body,
s) Ample aroma that delivers citrus fruit, grass, tropical fruit salad, and pine - slightly sweet and floral for me, compared with dales bitter masculinity.
t) Complex with the sweet fruitiness tempered by pepper bitter hops that also offer some wood and grass.
f) Thinnish, aspiriny, minerally, but satisfying.
o) If you like them fruity and floral, this is a great hop bomb of an IPA.

Pours a yellow straw color with a placid and soft foam head. Despite the hazy color, carbonation is visible. Excellent retention on the head.
Aromas emit citrus notes, particularly orange and tangerine. A subtle bready malt aroma is accompanied by hints of grassy hops and light dank. More fruity aromas develop and evoke notes of peach, pear and mango.
The palate opens up somewhat dry with a taste of grainy and bready malts and a touch of honey. Juicy flavors soon develop, evoking orange peel, tangerine, and pear. As the taste becomes sweeter, there is little bitterness, however, there is lots of hops flavoring in the middle palate, hinting at grapefruit pith and gently prickly pine needles. There is a light touch of bitterness in the finish, however, it is mostly clean and dry.
Medium bodied with a moderate carbonation that packs a nice tingle. Starts off dry but becomes juicier, well hopped flavoring wise, yet balanced.
A really tasty APA. I would definitely have again.

Had from can dated 7-02-18, pour in pint glass

So, a fresh 3 week old pale ale; really fantastic. First the appearance grabs you with the pale straw coloring and heavy lacing, looks like pineapple juice in a glass; nose - again heavy pineapple, mixed with some citrus (?); Taste is fantastic much more flavor than the light appearance would indicate. Seek out, great pale ale!

Appearance: Pours a hazed, light yellow body with a fluffy, foamy, white head.

Smell: Neutral grains, lemon-kissed wheat flakes, grapefruit with a thin sliver of pith and some orchard fruitiness.

Taste: It's got a bit of sweetness, a bit of graininess cushioned by a supple wheaten backbone. Juicy grapefruit, lemons and a soft peach accent with some additional florals. Medium bitterness. Lasting gush of fruit juiciness through the smooth, lightly bitter finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Nice touches of smoothness and tingle to the mouthfeel.

Overall: Really puts a smile on your kisser. Fairly tight, fairly solid pale.

Pours a slightly hazed gold with 3 fingers of rocky ivory colored head.
Great lacing and pretty nice head retention

S: Bready, grassy

T: Follows the nose, fairly dry, a little pear and grapefruit up front. Dryness and grassyness as this warms. Finishes dry and grassy

MF: Medium body with restrained carbonation, alright balance

Drinks easy enough, solid APA
