Poured from a can (no date I could find) into a pint glass

L: nice clear gold/amber with a thick, with a very slightly off-white/tan head. Moderate visible carbonation

S: moderately rich malt-forward nose, slightly sweet. Get baked bread, caramel, honey. Not much in terms of spice/earthiness

T: certainly malt-forward like the nose, rich and more robust flavors to open - darker baked bread, caramel, honey all again. Bit of a sweetness comes in at the finish, along with maybe a hint of hops - slightly bitter, but more provides contrast than acts as a dominant flavor. Get a seemingly out of place melon flavor as it warms, along with this light solvent-like note and some more earthy character

F: light+ body, medium carbonation, drinkable/gulpable i.e. style appropriate

O: okay brew overall. Has a nice and inviting nose, and flavors start off well but the swallow becomes a bit mixed. First few sips felt like the middle fell out, and now that it’s warmed I’m getting some out of place/off flavors. Guess I need to drink it faster

Collaboration with Creature Comforts, canned August 19, 2019. Pours a golden orange with ruby highlights into a pint glass, a finger head and some soapy lace retention on the side of the glass. Toasted grains and faint malts on the nose and the taste, with maybe a touch of grass/herbal notes. Mouthfeel is somewhat light, carbonation medium low. Very drinkable, more on the pale side of Oktoberfests.

Look: It pours gold and is extremely clear. It has an off white head with moderately low head retention.

Smell: The aromas are doughy overall with some herbal elements and otherwise it is clean.

Taste: It has a bit of sweetness in the flavor with a bread dough quality. It has moderately low herbal qualities to it. It is clean overall.

Feel: It has a medium body with a smooth texture.

Overall, a malt driven beer with simple, easy going flavors that creates a very drinkable beer.

16 ounce can - Charlie's Beer & Wine in Marietta, Georiga.

Appearance: Pours a bronze-toned body, a bit of haze to it with a medium-small, white head.

Smell: Bready maltiness with a modest touch of toastiness to it, a fine, faint hint of herb and a clean lageresque envelopement.

Taste: Lightly bready, even lighter on the toast studded with coarse grains. Subtly floral, herbal hops hinting of orange blossom and tea leaves. Lightly bitter. Disarmingly deft lager yeast hint. Slightly sweetish doughy quality on the back half and through the crispish finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: Man, is it me or is it just nice to have a straight-up, solid beer, sometimes?
