I received this beer from Mike, thank you so much for the beer. I have not drank many of this style. Poured the beer into a flute glass at 50 degrees. The massive three finger head has decent retention. The head is white creamy and frothy leaving lacing on the glass. The color of the beer SRM 4 a pale yellow with straw color hues. The clarity of the beer is hazy with abundant amount of carbonation. The beer looks beautiful, I was hoping for a more persistent head, however, this beer looks great.

The aroma on the beer is interesting, I get the pineapple and lupulin, the coconut and vanilla are too far in the background for me to detect. A slightly sweet toasted malt, yeast, floral, spicy and a grassy note.

The flavors in the beer is lupulin, pineapple, toasted malt, yeast, floral, grassy, and herbal. The coconut and vanilla in the beer is faint the background, it is there but not as strong as the lupulin and pineapple.

The mouthfeel of the beer is smooth.

The body of the beer is medium, medium-high carbonation, and and medium finish.

This is one strange beer in a good way. The beer is well made and balanced. When I read the label on the beer, I was thinking what the hell did they do this beer. I honestly have put this beer off from drinking it, everything it made it intimidating. I was wondering how the hell are are going pull this off with all the additions to the Munich Helles. Strangely it works well together.

16 oz. can. Clear golden. Smells doughy with some corn and a touch of spicy hops. Tastes of bready malt throughout. A hint of that corn before a bright and fruity hop back end. Medium light and very drinkable. Very nice Helles.

Clear light gold color with white cap and lacing.

Aroma of bready malt and floral spicy hops.

Flavor is richer than the scent with bready malt leading and hops in full support. A subtle interplay between the two with both in balance. There's a touch of ripe fruit which I'll call peach though it's not quite that and is very light, just enough there to be there. I didn't catch all the nuances at first but deeper into the glass the flavors build to a complex whole that remains consistent into the aftertaste.

Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

This one's a winner for any purpose I have for a well crafted Helles Lager.

A: Pours a clear medium yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and faint pale golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy white head that slowly reduces to a handful of small patches of thin film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of bready malts with a light aroma of citrus/lemon, stone fruit/peach, and spicy hops.

T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors bready malts with a hint of grainy sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of citrus/lemon, stone fruit/peach, and spicy hops which impart a light amount of lingering bitterness.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp.

O: Extremely easy to drink and refreshing, perfect for this week of 70 degree days here in Feb in NC. Alcohol is well hidden and this beer is very enjoyable - a nice American example of the style.
