A collab beer with NightShift brewing. Part of trade with @KRubes, thanks!
The beer pours a dark cola brown hue with a short creamy tan head of 1 cm foams up and fades quickly to a thin edge layer that sticks around throughout the sampling. Wish the foam lasted a little longer.
Aroma is rich and malty with some dark chocolate notes and roasted malt too with a bit of molasses and burnt sugar mixing in to complete the malt sweetness on this nose. There isnt any reveal of the 13% ABV nor any bit of hops at this point on the sampling.
First sip reveals a pretty thick body with very fine, active and prickly carbonation. The texture is smooth and silky and coats my palate with each sip.
Flavor is some roasted malt and dark chocolate with a bit of molasses and brown sugar. A lingering roasted marshmallow sugar note also shows up. Still no hop presence nor any real hint of the booze. Pretty amazing for a 13% ABV brew.
I enjoy this one, and recommend it to maltys such as myself. Its not too sweet nor too boozy and is really nice. Worth trying it you can find one.

16 ounce can, packaged 02/28/18. Brewery only release. Poured into Burial tulip. The can appears like the original can with a new sticker slapped over some of the design. Simple, I like it.
Pours a solid black with light tan, finger's worth of head. Not much lacing. The nose is all marshmallows, some smoke and faint chocolate. Taste is all of the nose and more. Chocolate, burnt marshmallow, smoke, wood, some heat from the alcohol, and finishes with spicy cinnamon. In fact, the cinnamon lingers. The body feels thin, carbonation in light. However, the drinkability is easy. Just a touch of boozy heat.
