Sampling a cool temp 16 oz can poured into a snifter. Part of a trade with @jerryfreak. Thanks Man!
Can has labeled this as a collab with TRVE and Troubadour, but actually brewed at Burial. Pretty cool can art by David Paul Seymour.
Beer pours a clear but dark mahogany color with some garnet highlights when held up to a light source. A creamy khaki colored head of dense foam builds to about 2.5 cm after a gentle pour.
The foam fades to a clingy edge layer and some dense lattice with one large wispy island in the center of the glass.
Aroma is some caramel and toffee, some dried almond, with a bit of toasted grain note mixing. Not much of a hop presence and the nose is overall pretty mild, but a nice malty forward smell.
First sip reveals an average to light body and very fine and gentle carbonation. Very easy drinking physical traits, a quite nice brew for this fall evening.
Flavor is caramel and some light chocolate notes and again a hit of toasted grains. I dont get much of a hop presence but there is a little bit of an herbal or black tea note on the burps. No hint of the fairly low ABV and this beer drinks fast and smooth.
Glad I got to try this one, quite tasty and straightforward brew.
