A righteous crusade upon a pathway divined by the hand of the supernatural. We crafted this prophecy with the help of Raleigh's makers. Concocted with Trophy Brewing Co. Mashed with Spelt from Boulted Bread. Brewed with a heaping blend of Ceylon and Assam black teas from Tin Roof Teas. Aged upon green cardamom, fennel seed, nutmeg, cinnamon and black peppercorn from Patel Brothers. Local Ginger sourced from growers by Farmers Collective.

Pouring from a 16 oz. can into a snulip, this beer pours out a very dark brown. A perfect, one finger width, dense and creamy, peanut butter colored crown sits at the top.
The nose brings in spices with a huge prominence; cinnamon & nutmeg the most. It also has a strong root beer or some kind of cola presence. Very dark tea, maybe even some slight peppermint and licorice. Wow this thing is complex and like nothing I’ve ever smelled in a beer.
The taste follows suit to the nose very well. Cinnamon and nutmeg blending in with root beer, vanill, notes of licorice. Ginger! That’s it! That’s what I was trying to describe in the nose. Wow, it’s so present.
The mouthfeel is absolutely bonkers on the creaminess. Creamy and silky with such a thickness that it doesn’t hardly resemble beer. The double digit ABV doesn’t show up at all.
Overall, this is amazing to me. I could see it not working for everybody, but man it works for me!

L - 1.5 finger hazelnut head atop a dark brown body.
S - strong cinnamon, cardamon.
T - chai is an accurate descriptor. Tastes more like tea than beer, which is impressive. Low bitterness. Low sweetness. Low booziness.
F - medium body and carb.
O - quite tea-heavy, and very different. Barely resembles a stout. I’m enjoying its uniqueness.
