Collaboration with Other Half Brewery.

Lurker of other people’s walls. Rider of past pro tales. Enjoyer of the walk ahead. Imbiber of only the finest beans. Unparalleled eating partner. Old man. Smart man. A tribute to the man behind the curtain. A monstrous collab with our best worst friends at Other Half Brewing. Inspired by a love for southern delicacies. Our largest Imperial Stout yet, aged upon heaps of roasted pecans, Vietnamese cinnamon, maple and golden syrups and Madagascar vanilla bean. Insanely well-balanced alcohol and sweetness meet bright dark caramel, baking spice and praline in this sipper.

Cinnamon-vanilla infused syrup poured over a pecan-honey bun. Borderline cloying. Mouthfeel is medium and works with the combo. Liquid delight. Thanks Stephen B.

L: Pours a rich black onyx and mahogany with a thin sandy head
S: Freshly baked cinnamon buns, french toast, vanilla bean, and roasted malts on the nose
T: Intricate sipper here - the cinnamon and pecan play nicely upfront then recedes into a healthy scoop of pralines and cream ice cream and finishes with a sweet maple and lingering honey profile on the finish
F: Medium desperately bordering on thick with ample carb
O: High caliber (and high octane) stouts are usually hard to come by in NC, but I'm Actually Feeling certainly piqued my interest. Burial did a superb job of recreating southern baked goods in a warm and inviting pastry stout that is actually rather balanced on the sweet end. I've got to think this is one of the best and definitely in the top 5 stouts ever crafted in NC. My hope is this is a harbinger of great things to come for our state especially with Heist's Cataclysm IV (hopefully) around the corner. Hats off to Burial and OH on a well executed stout!
