Poured from a bottle (released 02Jul2020) into a sort of rocks glass
L: poured straight from the fridge and after it had sat out for a couple hours. Deep black brown at first, very thick, with a small dark brown head that fades quickly. After being out notice it as more of a cola brown, still somewhat thick, minimal head. Minimal lacing as well, abv-appropriate legs
S: immense amount of chocolate, with some tobacco/bourbon character behind it. Not much alcohol heat on the nose at all, more once it’s warmed but as expected and not off-putting. Get cocoa powder, baking chocolate, tobacco, raisins, vanilla
T: like the nose, immense and rich chocolate flavor right off the bat. Shaved dark chocolate right off a block, raisins (especially once it’s warmed), fudge, brownies, cocoa powder, chocolate covered fruits cherries figs. Don’t think nibs etc. were added to this, if that’s indeed true the depth of flavor is remarkable. Medium/long finish, slightly warming, abv presents itself nicely once it’s warmed but that’s about it
F: light+ carbonation, heavy- body, decently thick, coats the mouth well a bit thin once warmed but that’s okay
O: an excellent stout from Burial, a great example of how a clean (or close to it) stout can pack an immense amount of flavor. Think a BBA version of this would be amazing

Very dark appearance with slight tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a very pleasant slightly sweet molasses and chocolate. Taste is also a slightly sweet pleasant molasses and chocolate.
