The Only Trail From NowhereThe Only Trail From Nowhere
Notes: Imperial Stout with Pecan, Peanut, Cashew, Hazelnut, Banana and Coconut

The faint glimmer of guiding light, way down in the cavernous spaces of unknown desolation. A way to attest to the waking call of our great wild surroundings. The nourishing morsel of excellence you deserve as you cascade into the marvels of nature this fall season. Inspired by our vision of the perfect trail companion, this stout was made with Forestry Camp roasted Pecans, Peanuts, Cashews, and Hazelnuts, alongside accompanying doses of dried Wild Thai bananas and big fancy shredded coconut. Plate up some crumbled German chocolate cake, fluffernutter cliff bars dipped in cashew butter, and a sip of hazelnut macchiato with coconut milk cream.

Pours extremely dark mahogany brown with a 1/4" dark kaki head that leaves a little ring around the glass and a touch of clinging lacing.

Smell is muted nut blend with a touch of dark chocolate malt and a slight sweetness.

Taste is a very nice blend of peanut, cashew, hazelnut, almond, milk chocolate and a slight sweetness that I probably wouldn't have picked up as bananas and coconut without reading the label.

Velvety smooth feel with mild carbonation.

Overall very well done and a very good stout. Bourbon barrel aging would probably make this incredible.

Released 10/28/20; drank 11/20/20 @ the Yarchives.

Black/brown appearance.

An even pour yielded a small tan head; nice lace.

Cashew, milk chocolate & mild coconut notes in the nose.

Creamy, thick mouthfeel.

Creamy peanut butter & milk chocolate flavors up front; coconut & faint raspberry (?) notes on the finish. Almost no booze heat (??).

A nut forward, rich treat. One of the better Burial stouts I've had...which is a MAJOR compliment.

Look: very dark, some ruby highlight. Mocha head and clingy lacing.
Smell: nutty as hell. Peanut leads the way.
Taste: rich and creamy, nuts melded more with other flavors, not getting distinct coconut or banana, but overall flavor is outstanding.
