Is there a flavor for chaos? And is there a flavor for euphoria? Maybe they are the same flavor and its the flavor of hops.
Burial's Postmodern Depictions of Natural Phenomena pours a burnish gold and cast is a silted pastel haze before capping off with a soft eggshell froth. As a cornucopia of fruit pours from the scent, a host of citrus, tropical, berry, stone and orchard fruits cast an aromatic perfume ahead of a cereal sweet taste and a cakey body. Honey, poundcake and creamy wheat soon give way a fruit cocktail melange of sherbet and fruit punch. A rising herbal bitterness takes an edge off of the lingering sweetness on route to a semi-sweet finish.
Full bodied, off cloying and hoppy, the imperial strength ale carries extra weight and creaminess into a malty sweet aftertaste of grain, gin-like spice and fruit rinds.

Pours a coudy orange in color. White head with nice lacing. Strong nose of citrus/tangerine hits while pouring into glass. Taste was also citrus, however not as strong as I expected from the nose. Decent bitterness, could use more.

Canned 12/7/20.
L: Pours a hazy orange, with a thin head that quickly dissipates. Irregular lacing.
S: Faint lemon/lime. Very faint.
T: Some citrus, a bit of sharpness at the finish. The 8.5% ABV is well-hidden.
F: Medium mouthfeel.
O: Better than average, and quite drinkable for the ABV, but not among the best of Burial's DIPAs.
