Murky yellow body with a white head. Crisp honeyed hops support bread yeast with very mild citrus forward hops. Taste much the same, the bready yeast is the star here, other traditional elements there but not deep or loud. Very crisp, malts do their work as the backbone well, medium-light bodied

Dated 03/14/25 (PI DAY) "TAKE A LOAD OFF", into a pils glass.
Pours a pale gold with lovely fluffy foam and tons of bubbles, extremely nice. Aroma is honey and deep sourdough bread, quite rich and full. Flavor is heavy on the biscuit malt, some rich honey flavors, and a good spice kick. There's a lot of soft lemon as well which is great. Malt flavors are very deep, and it's not too sweet. Not overly complex but very tasty. Feel is good, super drinkable with a lot of carbonation and a super light body.
Overall, a solid if slightly American-feeling Helles that hits the spot in terms of refreshment. Straightforward and very nice.

16oz can
Pours a finger of extremely fizzy white head into a stange glass. Retention is poor and the head fades quickly, though it does leave a solid rim. Lacing is very nice. Body is golden yellow, high clarity, with minimal nucleation. Looks pretty good.
Nose has a small hop presence - lemon and maybe a touch of grass. Malts are also modest at first - sourdough and cracker. They quickly open up into some richer bready notes. Smells pretty good for the style.
Malts come through first and foremost on the flavor - rich, bready, maybe even some caramel or nuttiness (apparently there is Vienna in here). Hops are not very noticeable. Tastes solid, more complex with the slightly deeper-than-normal malt profile.
Carbonation is pretty darn soft here, not a big deal but it is noticeably odd. Also has a surprising little umph of body. Definitely a perceived sweetness, but seems to finish well attenuated. Bitterness is low. Overall a well-rounded mouthfeel.
Drinkability is good.
Overall a nice lager. Not my favorite style with the rich malt profile, but the slight nuttiness actually helps give some character in a style that’s usually just rich bread.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 4/17/24.
Appearance: pale golden hue with a bit of haze and a finger of frothy eggshell foam.
Smell: lightly sweet malt aroma with a bit of a crackery character and perhaps the lightest dash of hops. A nice example of the style.
Taste: good malt flavor; it’s a bit richer than the aroma, and though it is definitely a little sweet, does retain a hint of that crackery dryness in the flavor. Bitterness is low, but that’s appropriate. A solid helles.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess. Not bad at all!
Overall: a solid example of a tasty and refreshing helles.

clear, bright pale golden color, white head. Clean bready malt flavor, mild grassy hops in the aroma and taste. Slightly sweet finish typical of a Helles. Thinner bodied.
