Picked up a 500 ml bottle on 3-8-23 at the Burial South Slope location for $19.00 based on the recommendation of a fellow advocate.
Beer poured black with very little head.
Nose is very nice as this is full of cinnamon, coconut and sweet malts. I suspect this is going to be over the top sweet.
Taste is a mild roasted huge, sweet malt base that is dominated by cinnamon and coconut. The Stroopwafel cookie is the main culprit given the sweet dough and syrup filling. Finishes over the top sweet with rum-soaked vanilla beans which gives an uneven heat to all the sweetness.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall, i should have done some research on the Stroopwafel recommendation, this does not belong in a beer.
