16 oz can, canned 2-28-26, poured into a Spieglau IPA Glass. Crystal clear gold, with a one finger head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is vibrant in the sea salt/onion and dank hop department. The taste is on the bitter side, perhaps some grapefruit or grape? The feel is medium light, slightly sharp on the sip and the finish. Overall a good WC IPA representation. Will be interested to see if this rounds out some in the next week or two.

Dated 04/06-25, into a wide wine glass.
Pours a pale yellow with rocky foam and plenty of bubbles. Aroma is white grapes and stone fruit with lots of nectarine character and funk. Aroma is white grapes and bitter mango, and a sort of restrained pine aggression. Flavor follows nose. Tons of white grape funk and nectarine, but very cleanly. It reminds me a lot of a good dry white wine. There's very little sweetness or bloated fruit flavors, and all of the flavors are completely basic, without sugar or bitterness. It's really impressive how they're conveyed without too much sugar. Feel is good, very bright. Body is lower and it's very drinkable.
Overall, a very good modern WCIPA.

On tap at atlas tap house Myrtle Beach
Opaque, hazy orange color. One finger wht head. Ok retention and lacing.
Juicy smelling and tasting. Light bitterness.
Medium to full bodied. Light tangy/bitter aftertaste. Medium carbonation. Softer mouthfeel.
Hard to rate this one because i enjoyed the beer but its totally not a WCIPA. For a hazy/NEIPA, this is a plus beer, but this is NOT a WCIPA. Scores are based on WCIPA claim.

Appearance: Pours a clear golden color with a three finger head; excellent persistence and clumps of lacing form
Smell: Dank and piney with some tropical tones
Taste: Tropical flavors forward with papaya , passionfruit and a hint of tone fruit; the middle departs to a somewhat dank, piney direction with the finish being moderately bitter
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: I know there is a lot of love out there for Burial but to call this a West Coast IPA is a bit of a reach; if you are going to make a West Coast IPA, slap me with some real bitterness on the palate

Purchased as part of a premade mixed case from the Asheville, NC location. Illegible can date. Case purchased in March 2023
L- Very murky pale straw color.
S- Subtle piney aroma with fruit.
T- Somewhat citrusy tart with a resinous
aftertaste.
F- Bitey mouthfeel with fine carbonation.
O- Interesting beer. This isn’t the textbook
WCIPA. For Burial I guess it’s west
coast-ish. More like a hybrid bi-
coastal IPA. Decent , but not on par
with other Burial offerings.

Billed as a WC IPA. DH with Simcoe, Riwaka and Cascade. On tap at the brewery. Creamy one finger of white foam; excellent cap retention; heavy ring, heavy minus lacing; opaque orangy pale amber color. Nose is skunky pineapple; a smidge of cat piss (Simcoe) as beer warmed. Lemon/lime, papaya and pineapple; berries and melon middle; not getting much bitterness despite 60 IBU; no pine. Medium light body; dusty tongue coating (Cryo?); moderate minus carbonation. Overall, another this is not a WC style from Burial; otherwise, it looks great and tastes good; I can do without the cat piss, but I get that a lot from DH Simcoe; light and easy drinking.
