Imperial stout with Black & White Coffee co-fermented with cinnamon, cocoa butter, orange zest and vanilla bean.
And with this we start our script. One written by many hands. One in which we are prisoners of this eternal conflict. One where we flock to our temples of dissatisfaction and drown in the abyss of the never still. And to this we owe this blend of 5 of our choicest stout bases created to highlight a special coffee from our friends at @blackwhiteroasters that was co fermented with cinnamon before roasting. On top of this we added cocoa butter, fresh orange zest and Madagascar vanilla bean to create a unique offering full of whipped espresso cream topped with grated orange zest, luscious mocha shakes, and Coca Cola floats from the summers of yesteryear

Pours dark and murky, finger sized darker tan head.
Aroma is sweet roasted malts, loads of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, loads of caramel, finish has hints of the orange chocolate balls and light notes of spicy cinnamon.
Taste follows the nose, actually part of the nose might be due to me sipping while typing. Nice sweet stout but coffee in the taste is stronger then the nose. But everything else is just about the same.
Mouthfeel is fullish but not quite there. Smooth carbonation goes well with this stout.
Overall very enjoyable like most of Burial's beers.

Inspired by the ingredients in Coca Cola, Burial has succumbed to the soft drink world for a strong, spicy and sweet stout that does more than simply put a pep in your step. A great idea or a grave misunderstanding?
Jet black and pouring with an onyx-like sheen, So That We Succumb To The Creative Rhythm Of Our Grave Misunderstanding may be wordy on the palate but is sweet and spicy in scent, leading with rummy spices, coffee, cocoa and a delicate smoky char. Sweeter in taste, the flavors of dry molasses, burnt sugar and bittersweet chocolate frame an early malt impression.
As the heated stout works its way across the middle palate, the spices of cinnamon and orange intertwine for a warming balance to the lingering sweetness. The soothing taste of vanilla pales in comparison to the spices and to the rummy warmth. Seeming whisky-like, the stout trends coffee-like with a roasty, toasty and espresso-like finish.
Full bodied, prickling and medicinally hot on the late palate, the ale finishes with a drying mouthfeel and a palate numbing alcohol-to-spice combination.

550 ml bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours jet black in color with a one finger foamy khaki head that has short retention, some particles floating around
S- Aroma pops with orange zest and cinnamon. Rich brownie batter and chocolate icing and vanilla bean. Earthy and herbal fresh coffee closes it out, with more orange and vanilla
T- zesty orange pops through a base of Sweet chocolate and brownie batter, followed by rich herbal coffee. Mid palate brings out a sweet vanilla bean note, with more sweet chocolate. The finish gives more orange, cinnamon and chocolate on the linger
M- medium body with low carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns slightly creamy into a warming finish

Look - Black and thick with a fantastic frothy tan head and lacing
Smell and taste - coffee with roasty malts, chocoolate with a slight orange zest. Slight cola
Feel - full body with a lighter carb
OVerall - good but I'd rather it go away from the cola taste
