For you. For us. For all. For continuity as we grow. Burial has grown quietly over the past year or so, as we extend our reach and churn the gears to find more ways to get more beer into your hands, when you want it. So we have welcomed the spectacle of the festbier to our classic lineup for the very first time. The embodiment of this beer into a more permanent fixture is a representation of how much this season means to our team, our community and our customers. Our Fest is made with Epiphany Craft Malt barley, decocted intelligently in our brew house, and hopped delicately with Saaz and Perle hops, before sounding along to collect natural carbonation in our cellar. The fine favor of this season’s lager, brings with it toasted sourdough, fall flowers, and iced spiced tea.

Can dated 08/22/24, into a pils glass.

Fantastic pour, perfect golden color with rocky white foam that lasts for ages. Smell is sweet honey and a little dark molasses, as well as a little apple and spice. Flavor is great and held up very well. Aggressive white pepper and brightness with honey and biscuits. No weird character that I sometimes get from Munich malt and great malt presence overall. Less sweet than I expected but far too light for 6%. Feel is once again very good, quite bubbly and crisp.

Altogether, even if it's a little old, Burial nails another style. Great pale Oktoberfest.

Draft pour at the brewery served cold in a mug 5.9% ABV. The beer pours bright golden amber with nearly white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of bubbles. Slight lacing. Aroma is mild with pils malt. The taste is semisweet pale malt with major floral hop notes. Moderate bitterness. Clean lagering. Overall, good, but overhopped for style.

Picked up a 16 oz single from the Greenville Beer Exchange 10-6-23 for $3.74. Canned 15 Sep 2023; consumed 3-7-24. Cold stored since purchase.

Beer poured orange with a smallish white head.

Nose is pretty good, it has notes of biscuits and honey wheat bread.

Taste is a biscuit and honey wheat malt base that is balanced nicely by noble hops that lend a hint of spice yet leaves an appropriate amount of residual sweetness.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and fairly smooth and refreshing.

Overall a pretty good representation of the fest style.
