Dated 04/17/26 WEST COAST, into an Ever Grain becher pint.
Pours a shockingly dark gold/orange with fluffy white foam. It's weirdly kind of hazy?? Aroma rectifies this with tons of funk and dry white grape, alongside a lot of diesel. Flavor is dry grapefruit and mango mostly, lots of Citra character here. Bitterness is on the lower side but I get a lot of pine and orange peel as well, not particularly juicy or very bitter but definitely dry. I get some clean malts as well, especially on the finish, but I really wish this was more crisp, or committed harder to being a proper Citra/Centennial driven old school IPA. Overall, it's bitter enough and the old school flavors are there, I just wasn't expecting it and I kind of don't love it. It's growing on me as I drink it, and I think the grapefruit and pine flavors are really good, it's just missing something to really blow my mind. Feel is good, obviously quaffable, and no weird flavors. Medium body, bittersweet finish. It's an old school IPA to the T.
Overall, I think this is a rare miss by Burial?? I don't love this beer, but it grew on me and the flavors are present. I just didn't like the first impression and it didn't leave me wanting more like most of their hoppy beers.

16 oz can dated 4/17/26, poured into a Spieglau IPA glass, a semi hazy orange with a two finger foamy, fluffy white head. Decent retention on the head. The aroma is heavy orange citrus with some mild berries and lemon. The taste is orange, blueberry, some tropical fruit. Medium low amount of carbonation, with a medium amount of heft and mouthfeel. On the smoother side. Overall, a very solid offering worth giving it a go while it is available.

Picked up a couple of cans out of the Hendersonville Fresh Market's build your own sixer cooler on 2-23-24. Canned 25 JAN 2024; consumed 4-10-24. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured a hazy lazy golden orange with a pretty good white head.
Nose is citrus and floral hop forward, although overly pungent based on Burial standards.
Taste is a lighter pale malt base that is has hops that are giving me notes of strawberry, peach, and orange. Finishes with a nice grapefruit rind bitterness; 7/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and more smooth than refreshing.
Overall another tasty beer from the Burial team.

Appearance: Pours a somewhat cloudy golden color with a three finger head; strong retention with squiggly lacing
Smell: Floral aromatics with a strong peach bent; melon, lime and passionfruit, as well
Taste: Juicy opening with the peach and melon tones contributing floral elements; passionfruit and lime emerge to add a moderate level of bitterness; the finish is balanced between the floral and bitter tones
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Jucier than your typical West Coast IPA, this does bring a more modern take to the style
