Is this my first Burial stout, arriving in a 500ML bottle with sleek art on the label & an attitude? Man. Wish there was some website I could track stuff like that.

Black as outer space, without all those stars, & a healthy head that drops faster than a Joe Ryan sinker. Smells great. Chocolate, barrel, oak, in very precise measures.

Become Who You Are So You Might Untether is a badass name for a beer, band, or fifth son. Taste ain’t bad, neither. Straightforward & dominated by a good, clean barrel experience that really sticks to the palate & won’t let go. Deep malts – sweet, slightly roasty, with cocoa highlights – are enough to support the bourbon. Hits the mouthfeel bullseye. I could drink a lot of this.

Beautiful execution of malts + yeast + barrel. Excellent beer that’s knocking on the ceiling of the elite.

A beautiful ebony color with a thin head. Aromas of raisins and vanilla. There’s an almost cola flavor upfront that blooms into a mellow bourbon flavor. Mouthfeel is viscous with extremely delicate carbonation. Overall, another BBA Imperial Stout from Burial!

Opaque black body with a brown head. Great bourbon barrel depth in the nose with dark chocolate, mild caramel and fig. Taste is much the same to start but then warm tones of molasses, vanillin, charcoal flakes, and a whisper of wet earth emerge in a complimentary way. Feel is heavy, chewy, warm and barrel driven with even a touch of froth.
