Imperial sundae stout with Madagascar vanilla bean, Tahitian vanilla bean, toasted pecans, and salted caramel

The fallen leaves tell a story. One of incineration of all that divides and distinguishes. One of meager thrashes against the night. One of our most eager flames, extinguished. Felled by those of greater purpose. A blended abyss of three decadent sources blended to 14% before being conditioned on house made salted caramel, a record amount of hand scraped vanilla bean and house roasted pecans to provide a rich experience of candied pecan vanilla ice cream topped with caramel drizzle and dusted with fleur de sel.

On tap at the brewery's South Slope taproom.

Appearance. Essentially black body with a semi-durable tan head.

Aroma. Much more like a Danish than a stout.

The flavor follows with vanilla and a load of caramel. Roasted nuts (pecans?) appear in the finish and aftertaste. Although I think I have an above average appreciation for sweet beers, this one's is too sweet.

Feel. Slick, almost oily, full body.
