Cuvée of bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout and bourbon barrel-aged barleywine ale
The fuel which powers this relentless pursuit is on the verge of exhaustion. But the torch of sacrifice illuminates a clear path forward. The culmination of our past will guide us towards the horizon. A beer crafted in extremely limited quantities, originally meant to be a Burnpile 2024-VIP exclusive offering. A culmination of many hours in our wood cellar, this carefully crafted concoction of Barleywine aged for 12 months in Willett Bourbon barrels and 16 month imperial stout aged in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels sings of German chocolate cake soaked in bourbon alongside your caramel macchiato whispering with aromas of deep oak.

Glossy black with minimal head, though its flat, dark tan collar is creamy.
Very woody but also viscous and almost pastry-like, I do see the German chocolate cake, but the icing moreso than the cake, with a touch of coconut and toffee.
It's sweeter than I anticipated, but not sticky, yet fairly balanced. I did think it'd be a better, more cohesive expression, though.
