As far as I understand this beer has several different iterations, this review refers to "Dream Candy: The Sacred Slashie and the Blessed Dissonance". It was canned on the 25th of March in 2025 and is a collaboration between two breweries: Burial and Hop Butcher.
Look: Pours a hazy opaque yellow with an extremely dense, finely compacted, satin white head of foam that laces the glass with intricate fine webs of lacing - I can not describe how well this beer laces the glass - literally the entire glass is covered in lacing.
Aroma: Spicy apricot pith, mango, orange sorbet, pineapple and peaches. Spicy notes of earthy hop resin.
Taste: Very restrained, silky and supple. Smooth juicy flavors of pineapple puree upfront. A bittersweet, vibrant and green earthy note blankets everything. Midpalate peaches and cream with soft notes of slight tart fresh squeezed orange juice. Ends on powdery, pillowy flavors of cantaloupe.
Feel: Pillowy. Powdery. Low alcohol profile. Dangerously sessionable at 8%.
Overall: Fantastic NEIPA. Not one of my favorites of all time but a phenomenal beer.
