Dated 02/07/25 SIGNAL NOT FOUND, into a wide wine glass.
Pours a perfectly clear golden with plenty of nice white foam. Aroma is bright, aggressively dank, and very bitter. This is a quite potent and very great smell, wow. Flavor follows the nose very well. It's a textbook new school WCIPA, with very little malt character besides some cracker and sweetness right before the finish. This thing is resinous, piney, and extremely bitter, as well as sitting with a little white grape funk and dry berry. Hop flavors are fresh, very assertive. Finish is dry and clean, wrapping up nicely. Body is lighter but the flavor is still full, and it's impressively carbonated, which helps boost the perceived bitterness without drying out the finish too hard.
Burial normally does fruity, soft hazy IPAs, but this one rips. It's aggressively bitter and vegetal and I'm here for it. A great thirst quencher after a hard day and a refreshing take in a field of excessively fruity modern WCIPAs.
