Swim upstream. Nothing glows unless it's cast in shadow. We're marked by the moments that don't match. And yet belong. Very rarely does a collaboration opportunity leave us in awe. But here were are. Riffing with Jason Perkins on the iconic Allagash White. And placing our Burial fingerprint on a classic. This American-style wheat was mashed with Riverbend's Raw White and Appalachian Wheats. Dry-hopped with Motueka, Eclipse, and Nectaron. Conditioned upon Orange Peel and finished with doses of Motueka Cryo and Hop Kief.

Canned 06/16/25 I'VE GOT THIS BEER IN MY HANDS, into a wide wine glass.
Pours a hazy yellow with massive foam, very nice. Aroma is juicy orange, tropical hops, and some wheat malt. Flavor is heavy on the citrus and hop flavors but also has ample wheat malt ideas. It's easily supported with the malt ideas, not just weird hops and adjuncts. There's a good wheat base which grounds the heavier hop ideas as well which I enjoy. Feel is great, somewhere between an American wheat and a NEIPA. Body is low, the hop flavors shine, and nothing is watery or under utilized.
Overall, this is an incredible fusion between a wheat beer and a NEIPA that's still recognizible as a wheat beer and not just another wierd NEIPA. Big fan of the balance here.

Picked up a single from the Burial South Slope cooler on 6-20-25 for $4.00. Canned 14 JUN 2025; consumed 7-29-25. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured cloudy golden orange with a beautiful white head that has some nice hang time and is leaving some lacing.
Nose is of herbal, tropical, and citrus hopping.
Taste is a light wheat malt base in which the Nectaron brings and onion vibe to go with a light touch of orange. Finishes with a orange peel light bitterness that balances, lets you know its there, but does not overwhelm the finish; 5/10 on my bitterness scale.
Mouthfeel is light bodied and kind of frothy smooth yet refreshing.
Overall, wow this is a weird one. Given my palate's general dislike for Nectaron i am glad i only purchased one of these. I will give the brewers an A- for originality though.
