Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout Blended with Bourbon Barrel-Aged Barleywine
They don't vanish when the moment ends. They root deeper. Echoing inside of our bones. With a conviction that we cannot shake. This cuvée is comprised of both Barleywine and Imperial Stout, aged in bourbon barrels and blended with intention to achieve notes of dark fruit soaked in caramel, milk chocolate drizzled in bourbon syrup, and Skor toffee candies.

Poured jet black with carbonation that quickly dissipated. Medium nose. Slightly oxidized/burnt malt. Taste is balanced. Not a lot of noticeable barrel aging. Taste belies EtOH. Highly sippable.

Picked up a 500 ml bottle from the South Slope shop 6-20-25 for $25.00. Bottled in June; consumed for review 9-16-25.
Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured black with an okay off-white head.
Nose has lovely notes of caramel, chocolate and vanilla.
Taste is a very large caramel malt base that combines nicely with the chocolate roasted malts. Barrel brings notes of vanilla and some balance, but this leans slightly sweet in the end.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall, a tasty beer that needed more of a barrel presence for balance purposes.
