Dated 12/29/25 WC IPA, into an Ethereal Brewing tulip.
Pours a semi-murky dark yellow with a little foam. Aroma is white grape and nectarine with just a hint of funk and dankness. Flavor is similar with a little lemon and a hit of dankness, but with a bitter finish. Modern WCIPA has turned into pretty much just cleaner hazies, with the thickness war for the heaviest NEIPA making this pretty much what hazy IPA used to be. I enjoy this a lot, but to call it West Coast is really misleading. There's bitterness for sure, but up front this is nectarine and white grape juice. Finish is a little sweet, but mostly crisp and sort of still sticky. Feel is good, easy to drink and for sure not thick, and it has a very lemonade sort of character.
Overall, a really annoying beer that is tasty but is very far from what it's labeled as. It looks weird but the flavor is great and exceptionally good, but actually is almost offensively marketed. This is pretty much a lemonade cocktail. Really good, but what the hell.
